Surf New Caledonia

Dave Donda    Skipper

The 2003 season overall was pretty good, lots of swell but some strong offshore winds.

We conducted 4 trips, 2 had excellent conditions throughout, 1 had a mix of good  & fair conditions  and 1 had a mix of fair and poor conditions.

A total of 6 weeks were spent engaged in charters, 2 weeks were excellent, 2 weeks were good, 1 week was a mix of good and fair conditions and 1 week was fair to poor. The fair to poor trip was a result of a very late un-seasonal cyclone in early June which made for windy offshore conditions.

I wish to thank all the guys that came along during the season and the cook, Becky the deckie, who looked after us well. Each one of them brought a special element of enjoyment to each of the trips. A great bunch of crew. Looking forward to seeing some of you next near. Thanks guys.

Here are some testimonials from some of the surfers from the 2003 season.

As with any surf trip, the weather can play a significant part in the trip and you can't always win, so to be honest and fair we have placed them into two categories:

Good Conditions

- Lots of swell & clean conditions

Fair to Poor conditions

- Windy weather

Read them and make your own decision.
