The wind is generally light offshore east north east in the morning until about 11.00 am -12.00 pm. It then slowly swings south east cross-shore and increases between 10 to 20 knots. Great for sailing to next location, or try fishing, diving & island exploration. The wind tends to back off as the afternoon grows and swings back light offshore in the evening.

The best time to surf New Caledonia is between May and September. The big
swells come from lows produced down south in the Southern Ocean &
Tasman sea, the ones that bring snow, so winters definitely the go.
